REFERENCE EXAMPLE 2 [(Tetrahydro-3-furanyl)methyl]bromide 10 g of (tetrahydro-3-furanyl)methanol was added dropwise to a mixture 31.8 g of phosphorus tribromide, 9.29 g of pyridine and 100 ml of ether over 30 minutes, and the mixture was then stirred for 5.5 hours.
