Objective: To establish a method for the determination of sucrose octaacetate. Methods: Residual titration was used, after the reaction of sucrose octaacetate with sodium hydroxide VS, the residual sodium hydroxide VS was titrated with sulfuric acid VS. Results: The average recovery was 100.1%, and RSD was 0.2%. Conclusion: The method is simple, feasible and reliable. It can be used for the quality control of sucrose octaacetate.
